The idea of the tool is to help you quantitatively compare credit card offers. With this, you will get a quick overview of how the offers stack up.

Why We Created Card Maximizer

Let’s face it. We know from years of first-hand experience — it can be overwhelming when comparing credit card offers.

We’re lucky that the US credit card market is by far more complex and versatile than in other countries. But that also means it can feel complicated when trying to find the right card.

That is why we designed our Card Maximizer tool.

This tool provides you with a snapshot of the best credit card welcome offers on the market and how they stack up to one another.

The tool quantitatively compares credit card offers based on card type — e.g. airline, hotel, or cash back credit cards — using a hybridized bar graph.

As shown in the above screenshot, each hotel credit card is placed in a column showing the bonus offer amount.

One thing to note, card offers that are not in increments of 10,000 points will be rounded down to the nearest 10,000 points or miles. For example, if a card offers a welcome bonus of 45,000 points, it will be placed in the 40,000 point column. And welcome offers of more than 100,000 points will show up in the 100,000+ points column.

How to Use Card Maximizer

You can browse credit cards by category — Top 10 Cards, Flexible Points, Airline, Hotel, Cash Back, Business — using the top navigation menu.

Once a category is selected, you can compare current credit card offers on the bar graph at one glance. To view more card details, just click on a credit card image.

You will then see a popup that includes:

  • Welcome offer
  • Annual fee
  • Foreign transaction fees
  • Card benefits
  • Rewards earning rates
  • Quick card review
