Fairfield Inn is one of Marriott’s largest brands and it was created in the 1980s to compete with Hampton Inn, Red Roof Inn, and other limited-service economy chains.
You’ll notice some differences in branding: the brand formerly included “Fairfield Suites” properties which became part of the separate SpringHill Suites chain.
