NEW YORK, April 23 (Reuters) – Travelers Companies ( TRV.N ), the biggest publicly traded U.S. property-casualty insurer, reported a lower-than-expected first-quarter profit as it paid out on claims related to an earthquake in Chile and extreme U.S. winter storms.
